BASIC LIFE NECESSITIES SUPPORT 2021 – Present

Alms360 in the year 2021, initiated its ‘Basic Life Necessities Program.’ The primary goal was to install water hydrants in different  villages  of  South  Punjab and to build shelters for two needy widows and one orphan. The Trust successfully installed five water hydrants in the villages of Lodhran and Muzaffargarh districts. In addition, the Trust was able to construct shelters for struggling widows and orphans which they call their home.

Presently, the program, reach has expanded and Trust will be going to facilitate more people who are deprived of basic life necessities.

CORONA OUTBREAK SUPPORT PROGRAM 2020 - 2021

After the COVID breakout, the Trust launched a project ‘Corona Outbreak Support Program’ in March 2020 under its ‘ Zero Hunger’ domain. The aim was to deliver Rashan Packages to the suffering families due to lockdown. Under this project, we facilitated almost 500 direct beneficiaries and indirect went upto 10,000. The ‘Rashan Packages were provided mostly in Lodhran, Muzaffargarh, Mianwali,  and Swat.

In addition, the Trust helped laborers in Islamabad and carried out ‘Rashan Campaigns’ in Bahawalpur, Gujranwala, and Sindh. The team provided door-to- door assistance to preserve the dignity of the people in need.

ENLIGHTENING THE DARKNESS January 2020

Enlightening the darkness (ETD)” Project, under the
domain of Alms Uphold Children (AUC), was initiated
in January 2019 by a visionary student Muhammad
Noman, with a committed team of volunteers, carrying
various responsibilities of finance, media and human
resource management.

ETD’s core purpose is to provide all possible
opportunities for the students who want to seek
education but cannot afford the expenditures. By
giving school accessories (uniform, books, and shoes)
and annual fee submission, team ETD is determined to
encourage children on the path of Education.
Following are activities conducted by team ETD:

CLIMATE CHANGE (THOUSAND TREE PROJECT) Rahim Yar Khan - 2019

“Alms Thousand Tree __Climate Change Project” 2018 was executed by Alms360 Trust in collaboration with the Local Government of Rahim Yar Khan. Beginning on 3rd July 2018, it was a sponsored project of Thousand Trees by the City Mayor, approved after the struggle of one of Alms core team members, named Fawad Bashir, and his fellow “Junaid Hameed.” In addition, another batch of Thousand Trees was planted after the success of the first batch. Alms team planted 2000 trees across Rahim Yar Khan during the intense summer days. Also, it conducted different awareness sessions in schools and colleges as a step toward its vision of fighting and controlling Climate Change; and, in broader terms, supporting United Nations Sustainable Development Goal-13, i.e. “Take Urgent Action to Combat Climate Change and its Impacts”.

THALASSEMIA PROJECT 2018

“Alms Thalassemia Project” was initiated in March 2018 under the “Health and Well Being” domain with Bait-ul-Maal Pakistan and Alms360 to collect blood bottles and raise awareness among students of different Universities across twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. With the contribution of team Alms and Bait-ul-Maal doctors, the aim was to urge volunteers to donate blood for the children suffering from the chronic disease Thalassemia and develop a sense of humanity. The collected blood was aimed to facilitate children getting free treatment at Pakistan Thalassemia Center, Islamabad. Team Alms made a great effort, and over 800+ bottles were collected from twin cities in a short span of 03 months. Moreover, our team got succeeded in making youth concerned about Thalassemia patients.

Alms ADVOCATE THAR 2017

This Project was initiated in Aug 2017 under the “Uphold Children” domain of Alms360, aimed to raise awareness about the necessity of education and advocate career opportunities for the children belonging to Tharparker Desert. With around 09 sessions and workshops, Alms 360 provided primary education about IT and computer science, social sciences, world geography, history, biology, and humanity, with the help of lectures and worksheets, to children aged between 10-15 years. In addition, stationery and books were distributed to encourage parents to send their children to school. Alms 360 efforts were fruitful as more than 100 students got the motivation and resumed their studies. The strength of the students continued to increase as the sessions proceeded. Moreover, they all showed great interest in the sessions and found them interactive and helpful in making their future choices.

STAND WITH THAR 2016

The second major project was executed in 2016 to facilitate the suffering families within the Tharparker Desert facing drought for years. Team Alms took the initiative to provide Humanitarian Aid to help needy people of the Desert dying of hunger and thirst due to longstanding famine. Alms360, with the help of one of the team representatives from Sindh, distributed Groceries and other goods among 100 striving families of the Desert to help them withstand the hunger. Our team did this project as a bit of contribution towards the ultimate goal of Zero Hunger.

CHITRAL FLOOD AND EARTHQUAKE RELIEF PROJECT 2015

It was the first significant project of Alms360, in 2015, from where the Trust initiated its journey of contribution towards Human Development and Poverty Eradication. By its commitment to “Healing the Hurt Humanity with Love, Peace, Care and Respect”, team Alms360 reached to rescue the striving families in Chitral on December 01, after the 2015 Flood followed by the disastrous Earthquake of the decade. Team Alms360 acted immediately, gathered funds and travelled miles to hand over food, clothes, blankets, tents and other goods to the affected families to ease their sufferings. This project boosted the team’s morale and proved to be vital in strengthening the foundations of Alms360 and its vision of sustainable Pakistan
